Bird in Hand is an original hand-drawn work from Neon Starling that uses stark black and white contrast, along with whimsical patterns to exemplify the loving bond between humans and animals. 

The composition balances joy with sorrow, and hints at the need to remain positive in times of difficulty and loss. The anisocoric shapes and uniquely uneven outline of the space cat lend some insight towards the character of the work.
